Alaungdaw Kathapa National Park
It covers an area of 620.35 square miles. It is 981 miles away from Yangon if you go by car. Another way of getting there is to fly from Yangon to Mandalay, 400 miles by air, then drive to Alungdaw Kathapa for 148 miles from Mandalay.



National Botanical Garden
It is 472 miles away from Yangon by car if you go via Mandalay. You can also go by air from Yangon to Mandalay, that is 400 miles, then proceed to Pyin Oo Lwin by car, which is 42 miles away from Mandalay.



Chatthin Wildlife Sanctuary
While Chatthin Wildlife Sanctuary is thriving with a variety of forests such as low Indaing forest, high Indaing forest, flooded Indaing forest, upper mixed deciduous forest, a number of wildlife species can also be found in the sanctuary.



Hlawga Park
This park was founded in 1982 at Mingaladon Township in Yangon Division, just 22 miles from downtown Yangon. Tigers, leopards, bears and other carnivorous animals are housed in the 62 acre park and in the mini zoo.



Indawgyi Lake Wildlife Sanctuary
At present, it is providing sanctuary to such a variety of wildlife as leopard, golden cat, the Malaya sun bear, gaur, banteng or wild cow, serow, goral, sport-billed pelican, 120 species of forest birds, Myanmar peacock and soft-shell turtle.



Inlay Lake (Wetland) Sanctuary
The Lake covers an area of 642.32 square miles. You can reach there by car, by air or by train depending on your choice of transport. If you go by car, you can drive from Yangon to Nyaung Shwe, that is 430 miles.



Kakaborazi National Park
It is in Naungmung Township in Kachin State and covers an area of 1,472 square miles. It can be reached from Yangon via Myitkyina by car (920 miles).




Lampi Marine Park
You can reach there by flying from Yangon to Kawthaung then taking a boat-ride across the sea to the Island.





Meinmahla Kyun Wildlife Sanctuary
It can be reached from Yangon to Bogalay, 99 miles by river launch and Bogalay to Meinmahla Kyun, 12 miles by small motorboat. The Sanctuary has a coverage area of 52.79 square miles.




Moeingyi Wetland Wildlife Sanctuary
More than twenty species of aquatic grass and herb (Emergent macrophytes) including kaing grass are present in the Sanctuary and Notsaba (Oxyza officinalis) grows particularly in shallow area of the Sanctuary.



Myaing Hay Wun Elephant Camp
You can get there by driving 60 miles from Yangon to Pa-lon, then 8 miles along the unpaved road from Pa-lon to Kwan Ti Myaung, and 4.5 miles along the forest road from Kwan Ti Myaung to Myaing Hay Wun.



Nat Ma Taung National Park
Nat Ma Taung National Park was established in 1994 with the intention to conserve the watershed areas in the region, and to preserve rare species of Myanmar orchids.


Popa Mountain Park
There are three routes to reach there which you can choose from: driving for 412 miles from Yangon via Pyay and Kyaukpadaung to Popa
.


Shwesettaw Wildlife Sanctuary
It can be reached from Yangon to Magwe, 331 miles by car, and Magwe to Minbu, two miles along the river, then from Minbu to Shwesettaw, 30 miles by car.




Yangon Zoological Garden
With the coverage area of 69.25 acres, it is situated in close proximity to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, Kandawgyi Lake, Aquarium, Karaweik Palace and Yangon Railway Station.
